Guinea Bissau–and some

March 21, 2014 by leslieclark 4 Comments

I have finally arrived in Agadez after a tour of no less than 11 west African airports–a long boring story–and not a fun exploration–just trying to get from one point to another–the points happened to be places nobody else wanted to go–so lots of stops in between: Bissau, Dakar, Bamako, Conakry, Lome, Cotonou, Niamey, Maradi, Zinder, Diffa, and at last Agadez!  Whew!

Here are a few pics of the fun part: Carnival in Guinea Bissau.  Home of the largest archipelago in Africa, a tropical island paradise, many very friendly, traditional African tribes and the entry point in Africa of all the drug traffic from South America on its way to Europe.  Its a governmental affair.

We, 4 women photographers are planning a trip for the Gerewol festival in September. We have been told to fly to Niamey and drive over. Could you commen on that? Your painting are so vibrant … Thanks. Louise
