In our time visiting communities in the bush we were also letting them know that our medical mission was about to start. Unfortunately, Dr. Bob Skankey, his wife Louine and Rachel Phillips a volunteer, had to cancel because of passport/visa problems, but we decided to go ahead with a local staff. After leaving Foudouk we went to Tamesna to get ready for the local crew to arrive.
The patients started to arrive and the clinic began.
The major would receive the patients, hear their symptoms and send them for treatment to Dr. Agak or Ramatou.
Ramatou with a bunch of negative malaria tests. The patients all received T shirts donated by the American embassy destined to encourage people in the country to vote.
Sol counted pills…and Aicha dispensed them
Dinner after a long day…
