Money and millet

September 10, 2009 by Nomad Foundation Leave a Comment

Back to Agadez and the bank. Checking Paypal and the Foundation account everyday–we have raised over $21,000 so far!!!! We purchased the millet today (I wish we could use checks) and tomorrow, with assistance from the Rotary Club of Agadez and local committees who can verify the need of the people who apply, we will distribute 450 sacks of millet–enough to feed 450 families for a month. We are the largest distribution so far. We still have $7000 in pledges and monies coming in that we will be able to do more with when we assess the most pressing need.
Proud of us! Thanks to all of you who pitched in.
