Teach a man to fish award $1,000 – Pan-African Awards
Teach A Man to Fish named the Nomad Foundation as a “first place in country” winner in the 2011 Educating Africa Pan- African Awards for Entrepreneurship in Education. A $1,000 prize was given for the foundation’s unique solar project that has trained nomads to fabricate solar panels from mostly indigenous materials.
Hi Leslie,
A friend was in Ojai and bought cards and picked up a brochure. I am reading your blog and I’m interested in the solar program. I work with a school outside of Liberia Africa and I know that solar power would be the answer to their problem. Please send me any information that you have. It seems that I am the only one excited about solar and instead of waiting for electricity to come to the area we could use solar.
Thank you.
