Tonight I picked up 12 very tired nomads who suffered through the long trip from Agadez to Niamey. We have had to transfer our training here instead of having it in the very comfortable environment at Tamesna because of the stupidity of terrorism. But they braved the trip–leaving their beloved north in the full height of festival season.
They arrived tired but excited. We have had several more sign on here in Niamey.
We even have two girls–those Wodaabe women are brave!
We settled them in to a hot meal and a good nights rest–after tea of course and tomorrow we begin.
I have met with several large international NGO’s in Niamey and have gotten emails from others who are interested in being customers of our soon to be fabricated panels. And in the country of Niger–only the nomads will know how to do this.
