Iferouane is almost a two day drive so we spent the night at Moussa’s camp. In the morning the nomads take their animals out to pasture–here are the goats.
The training was held at city hall in Iferouane. Here the vice mayor and the doctor at the maternity in Iferouane and the Nomad Foundation team welcomed the trainees.

Jen demonstrates the fertility wheel she fabricated to give women the knowledge of the best and worst times of the month to get pregnant–giving them a choice.

The class divided into groups to practice taking blood pressure. Eventually 13 of the 29 present were able to demonstrate capability and receive BP cuffs.

In the tent installed by Aghali at our camp in his garden we are dividing and packing the bags that will be given to each matrone.

Everyone had to pass the final test to demonstrate she understood the training. Only one of the women could not pass the test so she was not given a certificate of graduation.
All your work and that of the nomads is very impressive. All good wish for everyone!
