Rebecca Keene Jones, MD. PhD and Patricia Manzon MSN, CNE presented the work of the Nomad Foundation at the 12th Annual Johns Hopkins Women’s Health Research Symposium. Known to us as Dr. Becky and midwife Pat, they have been working hard, running our training program for nomadic traditional birth attendants since 2016. This poster summarizes our work and validates it in an academic setting.
Well well I am so happy to be associated
With such brilliant women.
I witnessed your hard work in Niger, your boots (Sandals😊)to the ground attitude,
And your kindness to women no matter
What their story was!
Dr. Becky and Patricia Left me in awe
Along with our chief Leslie the director
Of Nomad.
The drifts of the Sahara and the nomadic people of Niger leave one with a human
Experience difficult to match.
Thank you to our medical team for
Imparting this personal knowledge.
I know it has saved lives!
How wonderful!!! I hope all are supportive and excited about the work that has bern completed and planned and will join in for the future! I as a graduate of John’s Hopkins Medical School in Mental Health was impressed with Leslie’s accomplishments
