Agadez had some bad luck today and so did we. At 4am the vegetable market burned down. We had our supplies for feeding the dignitaries at the festival already paid for — so it was a loss of $500. Insurance, or a merchant prosperous enough to reimburse us is not a reality so we lost, but probably could afford it more than the people of Agadez. Tragedy strikes anywhere anytime, but it sure seems to strike often here.
Aboli and Bahari are now scrambling to see if there are any vegetables left in Agadez to replace what we lost.
