Tuareg kids dance American style…and their own Tinde

February 14, 2015 by leslieclark 1 Comment

Before I left for Niger Benedicte Schoyen gave me a video of a fundraiser her Born to Play dance students did for the Tamesna School in Niger. They also sent lots of beautiful drawings. I also showed them a video of a nephew and niece, Cole and Charlotte, dancing to Bruno Mars. The nomad kids loved it and said–we can dance like that! Here is their dance response.

Tamesna kids dances

I also have a bunch of lovely sketches the kids did to send back to the Born to Play dancers. Thanks Born to Play dancers. Thanks Cole and Charlotte Price and thanks from the kids at Tamesna school.
