For many years we have worked in Mali to try to make a difference when its people are suffering from the violence of terrorist groups who have taken over much of the country. This work is directed by Charlene Pidgeon and our local representative in Mopti, Abdoulaye Diallo. Here is a letter he recently wrote along with photos from a distribution of food to internally displaced refugees.
Dear Friends,
Here are the refugees who lost many Imams, and heads of villages, killed by barbarians. We have chosen to help them because they are forgotten by all, and no one helps them. They have all lost all food and livestock, burned and looted. I was moved, my tears flowed, watching them cry with joy, and pray for you donors, but also for Solo and me.
They thank you very much. God bless you.
With warm affection,
Abdoulaye
